Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling prior to making her first amateur appearance at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent within the first round. She then went back to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen to beat her a unanimous decision, putting a black mark on Ladd's records for amateur. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent bout in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. Aspen won the following match in the fight against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen dominated Hoy and finished her in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut took place at UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a ground-and-- - pounded her for the TKO win in the second round. She continued to dominate and scored a more impressive win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd won the fight in the first round and was awarded the Performance of the Night Bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos Lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was her first fight that she had in any major way. Ladd took home by a unanimous decision following an intense back and forth battle with the fighters received the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya in the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute during her final fight against the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an majority decision.
